Welcome to Dark Ages Society website. We are a dedicated group of enthusiasts who recreate life in Britain in the late ninth century, a time when Vikings and Anglo-Saxons competed for control of the land.

Our members portray the warriors, craftspeople and farmers who lived in this troubled age. Our occasional public displays include battle re-enactments, crafts displays, storytelling and living history. The DAS usually holds non-public events at which we develop our fighting skills, historical personas and skills. A vital part of every event is the banquet, at which we feast and celebrate in the style of the Dark Ages. It is only then that the rivalry between Saxon and Viking may be temporarily forgotten...

We welcome new members who share our passion for matters Dark Age, and are always interested in new display opportunities to add to our regular performances. Please contact us if you would like more information - or take a look at our events diary to see what's happening near you.
