Forest Green - 14-16 March
The first event of the year will be a classic DAS weekend in the charming village of Forest Green, near Dorking, Surrey. We will fight in character on Saturday, in the nearby Hurtwood. Later on there will be time for crafts, games and the opportunity to spend your money on various DAS related stuff! On Friday night, we will undoubtedly be visiting the Parrot pub which is within very easy staggering distance of the village hall. The vote for Chair will also take place here on the Saturday.

There is plenty of sleeping space in the hall, plus some camping space. We'll have a full banquet on Saturday night and there may be time for games and/or crafts on Sunday morning.

Chiltern Open Air Museum - 25-27 April
A DAS training weekend, chillout at Chiltern. We'll be using Arborfield Barn during the day and the roundhouse in the evenings. Anybody who wants to do iron age rather than dark age can use the roundhouse in the day. Cost: £7.50 ~ £3 for children over eight.

Activities can include: living history and crafts all day, combat training and display practice for Cannock, general chilling out and enjoying the site, fighting in the woods after hours, partying in the roundhouse. There will be camping space, or we can sleep in the buildings.

No vehicle movements are allowed on site from 9.45 to 5.30 (i.e. during opening hours) - if you want to leave early you need to have your car off site in advance.

*** There will be lambing in the farm part of the museum so we will need to be extra careful not to disturb the livestock, and to work around any necessary restrictions imposed by the museum. Pregnant women should avoid sheep at this time or something. ***

Murton Park Museum of Farming - 10-12 October
Join DAS for a two-day event at the Danelaw Viking village, set in the Yorkshire Museum of Farming, Murton Park, Murton, York. The site will be open to the public so we must maintain authenticity during the days but the weekend is for us to relax and enjoy ourselves.

Accomodation will be in wooden huts/halls. Bring crafts and games. People can fight in the village after the public have left. There will be a simple banquet on the Saturday night. Cost £12.50 includes meals from Saturday morning to Sunday lunch.
