844 Sigrid is born to Harald Karlson. That year the winter is very hard. Many people suffer from the cold and lack of food.
862 Sigrid's brother, Snorri Haraldson leaves on a trading expedition to the East where he acquires some wealth. The same year Yngvild dies leaving Sigrid a small estate.
864 A raiding party led by Thorfinn One-Eye plunders Halland. Many estates are ruined. During that summer Harald's estate is attacked. Harald, Yri and Snorri are killed. Sigrid is captured. Thorfinn sells her to work on an estate in Frankland owned by a trader called Clodovicus.
865 Sigrid meets Ulrik Sinfjotlasson during his visit to the estate. Her knowledge of medicine helps her cure Ulrik from a fever. He promises to avenge her. He takes her back to Ranriki.
867 Ulrik meets up with Thorfinn and keeps his promise. That same year Ulrik takes Sigrid as his bride. They have two girls, Solveig and Asa.
